JRP Awards Week 3

By now, most of you should know what’s going on. Votes are done through “likes” on individual images on our Facebook Page. Head over there and choose your favorites so these couples can earn some sweet prizes!

BEST VENUE/LOCATION

Jennifer & Ryan’s wedding at Dreamwood Estate just outside of Eugene, OR. Tons of trees, great photo locations, plenty of shade, and an all around great vibe. Loved it!

Ashley & Joseph’s wedding at Ogren Gardens. A great country just off River Road in Eugene. Old barn, gazebo, gardens, trees, grass, amazing venue!

What can I say about Timberline Lodge, it’s incredible. Stephanie & Phil’s summer wedding on the mountain.

MOST UNIQUE COUPLE/WEDDING

Kylie & Jake in Silverton. Rain in the forecast so everybody came to together days before the wedding and transformed a family property into the perfect country venue. Amazing.

Jessica & Erik at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. A great couple that really chose to have fun on their wedding day. No stress, plenty of laughs and a great time all around. These two are awesome.

Christy & Jesse in Elkton. Married next to a trout pond at a lodge in Elkton. They are truly a unique and interesting couple with great hearts and personalities. They love the outdoors and the wedding reflected that in so many ways.

BRIDE’S HAIR

Let’s just get it out there: I love natural looking hair for weddings. If you wear your hair a certain way all the time, why change it up on your big day? Kelsey’s hair looked great! Simple, elegant, and red.

Ashley rocking the messy bun like nobody’s business. Great detail, took plenty of time to do. She wore it perfectly.

Stephanie picked a perfect style for a super windy day at Timberline. I loved the natural look, yet beautiful as it should be for her wedding day.

JRP Awards Week 2

Week 2 is upon us and the nominations are official. Remember, vote for an image by going to the Joshua Rainey Photography Facebook Page and clicking the “like” button for the image you want to vote for. You can vote for as many images as you want, but you won’t be able to vote for an image more than once. Also, if you really want to help somebody win prizes click on the “share” button for that photo and you can post it to your profile with a message for others to vote. The prizes are based on the number of votes. You can check out the Official Contest Info Page for more details. Cheers! Let the games begin.

CAKE/FOOD

Kelsey & Mark had Voodoo Doughnuts at their wedding instead of a typical cake. Their cake topper set atop a bacon maple bar.

Jessica & Kevin had one of the best candy bars I have ever seen. The design was great and everything was matching perfectly. Their cake and cupcakes fit the bill too.

Cassandra & Trevor’s wedding cake was super funky and really original. Probably designed by Willy Wonka himself.

FLOWERGIRL/RINGBEARER

Lindsay & Mitch’s wedding had quite the couple bringing the flowers and rings. We even got a kiss out of them during some group shots!

Ashley & Mitch’s ringbearer and flowergirl were adorable. The ringbearer was old enough to be super responsible about everything and the flowergirl was young enough to think he was cute and want to flirt with him the whole time. Haha!

The flowergirl and ringbearer from Melissa & Jordan’s Elkton wedding last January were great! They both loved being part of the bridal party.

FUNNIEST GROUP SHOT

This groomsmen at Victoria & Nathan’s wedding was hilarious! This is only one of the funny moments from the group session at this wedding. He deemed this posed “sexy tiger” and everybody was cracking up!

The groomsmen at Maria & Luke’s wedding wanted to show some booty for a funny shot but for some reason they all backed out and Luke’s dad didn’t get the memo.

There’s just something that’s always funny about a mustache! Especially when five girls have them at Brittany & Ryan’s wedding.

JRP Awards Week 1

Well, it is finally here. The JRP Awards Week 1. Remember to vote for your favorites on the official Joshua Rainey Photography Facebook Page by clicking the “like” button for each image.

BEST MOMENT:

From Sarah & Todd’s wedding in March. Sarah’s dad made an epic toast full of emotion. Loved it.

Brittany & Ryan organized a flash mob dance routine with their bridal party. I was one of the only people that knew it was coming during the reception. Incredible.

Alisha & Josh definitely had a pinata at their wedding at the Hilton last January. Everyone loved it, but I think the kids got the best deal here.

BEST DRESS:

Christy’s dress from her October Elkton wedding. Beautiful!

Anna’s dress handmade by a friend/designer. Such great detail!

Victoria’s designer dress that cost more than most of my camera gear.

GROOM’S ATTIRE:

Ryan looking studly in his textured heather khaki suit.

I’ll be the first to admit that I love grey suits for guys. One of my faves for the year. Jake with some trendy grey and some skate shoes in Silverton last July.

Simon wearing some fall colors proudly at his fall-themed October wedding. The mustache just really ups the outfit by a couple of notches.

The First Annual JRP Awards !!!

Welcome to the first annual JRP Awards! Yes, the name is not so great but The Dundees were already taken so we had to go with the simple title. Renae & Simon’s Wedding @ Laurelwood Golf Course

This was a great fall-themed wedding with plenty of vintage influence. Love the dress, the hair, the lemon drops, and the mustache!

Christy & Jesse Wedding @ Big K Guest Ranch

Reoccurring theme: Elkton weddings. Haha! I am beginning to love the town of Elkton! Great wedding locations, great weather when you wouldn’t think it was going to be, etc, etc. And, this is officially the first wedding where I got to fly fish before the ceremony. Aah the memories Big K brings back. The days of learning to fly fish, vacations with my parents, church retreats. When Christy & Jesse first told me of the venue I couldn’t recall it, but when I arrived it felt like I had grown up there in my early years.

And for the couple, awesome! Christy & Jesse are two of the nicest people I have met in a very long time. Not to downgrade how great the rest of my clients are, it’s just that these two are incredible. Enough said.

Everything Fitz Promo Shoot

Many of you have asked about images from the music promo shoot I did with the Canadian family fiddle band Everything Fitz. Sorry for the wait!

This was a great photo shoot with really nice people! We had some good moments, did some jumping, got ourselves hurt a bit (as you’ll see in one of the images) and talked plenty about fly fishing. A good shoot indeed.
