Navit & Daniel are such a great couple! I had so much fun at their wedding, which happened to be the 2nd Jewish wedding I’ve photographed this year. Although some of the elements were the same, this wedding was quite different from the Orthodox Jewish Wedding that I photographed back in May 2010. The one thing that I have to say though, is, Jewish weddings are fun! Congratulations Navit & Daniel and thanks for planning your wedding at such an awesome venue! Rachel and I were honored to be a part of your day.

Normally, my engagement sessions last about two hours and include way more photos, but this was a mini engagement session. This is not a normal shoot for me but with the great results we got, it could be in the future. We cut the session in half: three locations, one hour of photography, and only 250 photos shot (compared to 4+ locations, two hours of photography, and 500+) and still manage to capture some of my favorite engagement shots thus far in my career…

This wedding was full of great emotions and loving moments. The light was low, but I was super creative in shooting so that the images didn’t suffer. That’s the approach of a true photojournalist, documentation rather than intervention. I hope you enjoy the images! I recently had the honor of attending and photographing Abby & Jeremy’s wedding rehearsal at Eugene Faith Center and their rehearsal dinner at The Glenwood on campus. Honestly, the light was pretty low for photography at both venues but I am a firm believer in that mood at your wedding is more important than trying to make things easier for the photographer. Weird, huh? Especially considering that I am referring to myself. I pushed the iso up to 1000, opened up my lenses to 2.8 or 4.0 and bounced some flash off the walls occasionally. If you don’t know what all of this means, don’t worry, just enjoy the photos!

Thank you Jen & Nick for having me be part of your special day. This wedding was so unique and different from the usual mix of things. We’re talkin’ a homemade dance floor, sibling officiants, and some after-wedding camping on the property. Beautiful place, great people, and Cornucopia Catering! Does it get any better than this for a country wedding on a private residence?!?

Kaila & Nate had such a beautiful wedding at The Inn at Diamond Woods! It was super hot though and I can’t remember the last time I got that sweaty at a wedding! Classy wedding, classy people, beautiful decor, and increcible photos ops. Thanks to you both.

I can’t believe how many photos I ended up with for this wedding! We shot over 3200 images and narrowed it down to around 1200. The final total with b&w, sepia, cool toned, and other alternates put it up to 1758! That’s a lot of photos, and a lot of time. Sorry for such a long blog post, hopefully you’ll love the images as much as I do.

At Eric & Lynne’s Orthodox Jewish Wedding there was not much time for any sort of bridal portraits so we decided to do a bridal shoot a week after the wedding. We got some great wedding portraits of the couple having a really great time. I got to photograph my first ever Orthodox Jewish Wedding on May 30th at Temple Beth Israel! This was not only my first time photographing a Jewish wedding, it was also my first time attending one so I had to study quite a bit in order to know what was going to happen. I loved it though, the ceremony is very quick and direct and then they have a huge party. Well, they actually have a party before the ceremony and then continue it afterwards. There was glass breaking, circle dancing, feet kicking, juggling, and a lot of other great fun!

Its slightly tricky to photograph a wedding for a huge Boise State fan when I’m an Oregon fan. Seriously though, I had such a great time photographing this wedding for some great out-of-town people.
